Today's "Carp Culture" sure has a different meaning than it did in the 1800's in America! The US Fish Commissioner made great efforts to encourage carp farming as a food supply, as evidenced by the carp farming manual they published in 1888, and the front cover is now lovingly printed on our exclusive Ink'd Canvas Wall Tarp for your pleasure. Maybe they should have put more effort into convincing Americans to eat them.  Carp Cookbook anyone?
