German immigrant, John Lemp, tried his hand at gold prospecting in Colorado but eventually ended up in a little settlement that sprang up near Fort Boise. In 1864, he built his brewery to serve the thriving saloon business! This vintage advertisement is printed on our exclusive Ink'd Canvas Wall Tarp. As the locals will tell you, the "saloon" business is still booming in Boise!
